A strong author bio gives your book authority and forges a personal connection with readers. You can use your author bio to:
Establish credibility. Share relevant information that makes you an authority on your subject. For example, if you write a cookbook, note your accomplishments in cooking but leave out your Ph.D. in physics.
Make it personal. Showcase your personality (“She loves black tea and white chocolate”) or explain why you’re writing this book (“After years of struggling with credit card debt, I knew it was time to make a change”).
Promote your brand. You can mention other books you’ve written, link to your website, encourage readers to get in touch through social media, etc.
